HBLF has invited its "Media for Society" application for the sixth time. The aim of this award is to acknowledge the media’s importance regarding reports on the practical acts of social responsibility and cooperation, the popularisation of successful initiatives based on the cooperation of sectors, communities, organisations and private individuals.
HBLF highly esteem the social commitment of journalists, reporters and editors and wish to acknowledge their work by inviting this application year by year and reward the best articles and reports.
In 2007, based on the jury’s decision, Judit Doros, Gabriella Valaczkay and Lajos Puporka won the „Media for Society” prize of HUF 200.000 each. The article titled ‘Highly protected elderlies’ written by Judit Doros’s (Népszabadság, daily newspaper) was about the policemen from Mezőtúr who protect the elderly people in the village.; Gabriella Valaczkay (in the campaign of the magazine, Marie Claire) reported about a 9-children family and their everyday struggles. Lajos Puporka presented a film about the activity of ‘Oltalom’ Charity Society on Duna Channel.
The Tina Magazine’s three journalists got a minor prize as well.
