The mission of the Target Group is to increase the standard of business ethics in Hungary with special focus on the fight for a business environment free of corruption, illegal employment practices and fraud. We endeavour developing ways and means to avoid such practices and lobbying for the implementation of respective programmes with the government, non-governmental organisations as well as with private sector enterprises.

The members of the Target Group are business leaders of organisations in varying economic sectors with the commitment towards the enhancement of ethical behaviour and fair business practices. The members jointly hold the following principles:

•    We stand for sustainable development and aim to disperse internationally recognized best practices to foster quality of corporate governance in sectors that incorporate public merit.
•    We believe that transparency and accountability should not only exist between organizations and their stakeholders but must also be embedded within internal procedures and processes.
•    We represent the spirit of compliance that is more and beyond pure adherence with laws and regulations.
•    We profess that anti-corrupt environment does improve effectiveness and competitiveness on the long-run.

Our goal is two-fold:
•    as members we strive to continuously expand our knowledge in these areas, while, in the meantime;
•    endeavour to transfer the international skills of the members towards decision-makers and future business leaders.

Through the utilization of synergies within the members of HBLF we deliver projects, educate and take on public appearance to drive changes and help filling in gaps. Our initiatives are designed to have direct and measurable impacts.
