 HBLF's Partnership and Volunteering Target Group organized for the first
time in Hungary it’s Give & Gain Day 2011 the international
corporate volunteering day running in 16 countries. The mission of the
Give and Gain Day is to deepen the partnerships between the business
world and its stakeholders. Companies could join the initiative with corporate volunteer programs held in June 2011.
12 companies joined the first Hungarian Give & Gain Day, engaging more than 800 employees. The
volunteers participated in charity running, maintenance and restoration
work of kindergartens and children hospitals, created animal shelters,
were building bird feeders, gave blood donation, helped the victims of
the red sludge disaster, collected trash and distributed food aid.
On the international level 24 000 employees participated from 532 companies from 16 countries (www.giveandgainday.org.uk).
