The launch of the Hungarian Business Leaders Forum.
The General Assembly elected Dr. Péter Vadász as the first President of the HBLF.
Initiation of enterprise and restructuring programs in Hungary.
1992 - 1999
34 young Hungarian managers were trained in Japan, organized by HBLF and sponsored by the Japanese government and Japanese corporations.
1994
Launch of International Hotels Environment Initiative (IHEI) in Hungary with our partner the Hungarian Hotel Association.
The Incubator House of Kecskemét was opened providing reasonably prized offices for SME enterprises. The Prince of Wales and Árpád Göncz President of the Hungarian Republic were our distinguished guests.
1995
Training for 18 Hungarian specialists to the industrial parks of England.
1995 - 1996
Cross-sector partnership development events took place in Pécs and Győr.
The General Assembly elected András Sugár as President of the HBLF.
1996-1999
‘Master’s Classes’ program was launched. These round table seminars made it possible for SMEs to discuss management issues with business leaders. Throughout 18 counties 66 of our members helped the local leaders with their expertise and advice.
1997
‘Manager Shadowing’ program was launched. Students were assigned to business leaders to shadow their daily managerial work for two weeks.
1999
The ‘Fifty plus/minus’ project offered training programs for people over 50 to help them to be competitive on the labor market.
Student Management Championship was organized for the first time with the founding support of the HBLF – computer stimulated business competition for students in higher education.
The ‘Goal Ball’ contest was organized for the first time for companies to raise awareness for this sport and to support it financially.
2000
The General Assembly appointed István Kapitány as the new President of the HBLF.
The ‘Business World for the Environment’ award was founded.
We organized the first ‘Wheelchair Basketball Championship’.
2001
The ‘Employee Community Engagement’ campaign was launched
2002
The ’Media for the Society’ award was founded.
10th Anniversary of the HBLF.
2003
Borbala Czakó was elected as the new President of the HBLF.
2004
Hungary joined the European Union.
Borbala Czakó held a speech in London on behalf of the 10 new member states upon the request of the Prince of Wales.
2005
The ‘Financial Summit’ series were launched.
The HBLF Women Business Leaders Forum was founded in the Hungarian Parliament.
The UN Global Compact Hungary Network was officially launched.
2006
130 partnership practitioners issue The Partnership Declaration to key policy makers
