The Hungarian Business Leaders Forum (HBLF) held its 6th Wheelchair Basketball Competition in the Törekvés Sports Hall on the 29th of March, 2008. This year ten teams participated. Thanks to the cooperation of these firms we were able to donate more than HUF 1 million to wheelchair basketball. The Championship was won by Provident Pénzügyi Zrt. MagiCom Kft. became the second and Magyar Telekom has won the third place. The HBLF thanks all the participants and supporters for their contributions.

- HBLF Wheelchair Basketball Competition -

The Hungarian Business Leaders Forum (HBLF) held its 5th Wheelchair Basketball Competition in the Törekvés Sports Hall on the 5th of May, 2007.
Wheelchair basketball is a traditional sport in the world however only few plays it in Hungary and it is non-existent as a contested game. With this charity event HBLF wanted to promote wheelchair basketball and help the sport’s financial situation. The nomination fee for each team was 95.000 Ft the whole amount of which was to support the Hungarian wheelchair basketball sport.
This year twelve teams participated in the tournament representing ATEL Csepeli Áramtermelõ Kft., AXA Biztosító Zrt., Ernst & Young Kft., HBLF, Holcim Hungária Zrt., Környezettudatos Vállalatirányítási Egyesület (KÖVET), Magyar Pályázatkészítõ Iroda Kft., Hungarian Telekom Nyrt. T-com and T-Mobile business line, Memolux Kft., Provident Pénzügyi Zrt., Shell Hungary Zrt. Thanks to the cooperation of these firms we were able to donate more than HUF 1 million to wheelchair basketball. The amount is planned to be spent on an International wheelchair basketball tournament to be organised in this Autumn to promote the sport in Hungary.
The Championship was won by Holcim Hungária Zrt. T-Mobile became second and T-Com third place. Zsófia Hadnagy (T-Com) and Tamás Polik (Holcim) were the best players.
The prize for the first place was five vouchers of purchase - in the value of HUF 10.000 each - from TESCO-GLOBAL Áruházak Zrt. BMW Hungary provided 5 "BMW Lifestyle Collection" T-shirts for the second place. The prize for the bronze medal was five 5 gift packages from Hungarian Telecom – T-Mobile. The best players received sport equipments vouchers from Provident Financials Zrt. The winners passed their prizes on to the disabled sportsmen.
